The journey began way before 2013 …
NSM Foods (also known as Nigerian Starch Mills Limited (NSM)) was incorporated in 1970’s and is the oldest and largest starch producer in Nigeria. NSM is an integrated agri-business growing cassava, processing 60,000 tonnes per annum into starch in the Imo and Anhambra States of Nigeria.
NSM is currently implementing expansion plans which include a new 25,000 tonnes per annum rice processing plant and 250,000 tonne per annum cassava processing plant in Kwara State NSM has built a loyal customer base among multinationals such as Nestle and Unilever, as well as local manufacturers of noodles, pharmaceuticals and other products. These customers have consistently given NSM high ratings for quality and on-time delivery of their product.
NSM is expanding its own production of feed stocks of cassava and rice and has entered into a Farm Management Agreement with Demeter International Ltd in order to ensure that sufficient feed stocks will be available for existing and planned processing facilities.
